Police Blotter: Thieving, Assaults and Stolen Prescription Medication

Also, a bike lock is not enough to discourage some criminals from stealing your two-wheeler.

Homes, businesses and bicycles in Beverly Hills are not safe from thieves, who will break windows and cut locks to get what they want. Find out where crime is taking place in this latest  blotter set.

Preplanned theft

Between 2-4:30 p.m. on Sept. 19, a home was burglarized on the 400 block of South Clark Drive. Someone turned off the property’s electricity, cut the outside cable and phone lines, shattered a window to gain entry, stole property and fled. A loss of $100 was reported.

Businesses busted

At 3:18 a.m. on Sept. 20, a business was burglarized on the 200 block of South La Cienega Boulevard. Someone broke open a window, reached inside, removed property and then fled.

Thieving trio

Between 10-10:30 a.m. on Sept. 20, three men broke into a home on the 600 block of North Oakhurst Drive. They ransacked the property and fled with valuables.

Drive-by assault

At 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 21, an assault occurred on the 9700 block of Wilshire Boulevard. It was reported that a man on a bicycle slapped the victim’s buttock as he rode by.

Where's my bike?

At about 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 21, someone stole a bicycle that was locked to a pole on the 9700 block of Wilshire Boulevard. The victim reported a loss of $530.

Alarmed

During the day of Sept. 21, an attempted burglary took place on the 400 block of North Crescent Drive. Someone removed a window screen to a home, opened the unlocked window and entered the residence, but fled without property when the alarm sounded.

Unattended equipment

During the night of Sept. 21, a theft occurred on the 300 block of North Rodeo Drive. Someone stole disassembled commercial clothing pressing equipment that was left in a rear parking lot of a business for pickup. A loss of $10,000 was reported.

Pricey purse

At 6:45 p.m. on Sept. 22, a purse was stolen in the area of North Santa Monica Boulevard and North Sierra Drive. The victim said that two men grabbed the purse and fled. A loss of $103,500 was reported.

Forced touching

At 6 p.m. on Sept. 23, an assault occurred on the 9600 block of Wilshire Boulevard. It was reported that a male described as being 60 years old grabbed the victim’s hand and rubbed it over his covered body part.

Rodeo assault

Between 9-10:30 p.m. on Sept. 24, an assault occurred on the 700 block of North Rodeo Drive. During an argument the suspect struck the victim several times and then prevented the victim from calling the police.

Free meds

Between 8-10 a.m. on Sept. 25, a business was burglarized on the 8900 block of Wilshire Boulevard. Someone shattered the front door, entered the location and stole prescription medication. A loss of $180 was reported.

I spy

At 2:25 p.m. on Sept. 25, someone crawled under a gate from a rear alley to access a backyard on the 800 block of North Camden Drive. The homeowner observed and confronted the suspect, who then fled the location.
