Two thugs trying to rob a 12-year-old boy also make the list.

Conceal and steal

Someone stole property from a store on the 9500 block of Wilshire Boulevard between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. July 19. The person concealed merchandise worth $1,145 and exited the premises without paying.

A business on the 8700 block of Wilshire Boulevard was entered through an unlocked door between 3:30 and 5 p.m. July 19. The person then took property that was left unattended on a bench and left. The victim reported a loss of $2,040.

A man described as being 6-feet tall and 250 pounds assaulted someone in the area of West Olympic Boulevard and South Palm Drive at about 3:30 a.m. July 21. The bald, 25-year-old suspect exited the passenger seat of a car and punched the victim in the face. The victim then ran from the scene and called police.

Pry me

Someone entered a home on the 200 block of South Almont Drive between 3:30 and 9 p.m. July 21. The person allegedly used a prying tool to force open a rear door and then ransacked the master bedroom and closet.

Bling thief

Jewelry was stolen from a home on the 300 block of South Bedford Drive between July 21 and 23. A thief took multiple pieces of jewelry from a jewelry box. The victim reported a loss of $34,350.

Bummer

Someone entered a property on the 300 block of South Swall Drive through an unlocked gate between 1 and 4:30 p.m. July 23. The person possibly used a ladder to climb to a second floor window. After using force to open the window, the residence was ransacked. The victim reported a loss of $50,000.

Street thugs

At 7 p.m. on July 23, two 18-year-old males allegedly tried to rob a 12-year-old boy on the 300 block of South Doheny Drive. The suspects—one described as 5-feet 8-inches tall, 150 pounds and the other as 5-feet 11-inches tall, 190 pounds—used intimidation to chase the victim in an attempt to steal his property.
