Police Blotter: Two Slaps, a Scratch and a Shove

A television taker, clawing assailant and two locker room thieves make this week's roundup.

Off the wall

Between 7 p.m. on June 4 and noon on June 5,  someone entered a property on the 8600 block of Wilshire Boulevard. The person removed a television from a mounted wall bracket, leaving behind cables and a DVD player. The victim reported losses of $400.

At about 3:30 p.m. on June 7, an assault occurred on the 200 block of South Beverly Drive. A male described as being about 5-feet 11-inches tall, 180 pounds and with black hair slapped property out of the victim's hand, causing damage to the property.

Just before midnight June 8, a female scratched another person with her nails during an argument on the 400 block of South Maple Drive.

Schooled

Sometime between 3 and 4 p.m. on June 9, two brown-haired, brown-eyed females entered an unsecured locker room on the 200 block of South Moreno Drive and made off with property valued at $600.

Tag team

At 6:30 p.m. June 9, four males in their 30s ranging in height from 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet are alleged to have assaulted two people on the 100 block of North Wetherly Drive. The victims say they were sitting in a vehicle when the suspects approached them, threatening one of them and his family over money and slapping the other in the face.

During the night of June 9, property valued at $3,400 was snatched from a home on the 400 block of North Doheny Drive. The perpetrator pulled open a window, cut through the screen and removed the items.

Spare some change

At about 3 a.m. June 12, someone smashed the front glass door of a business on the 200 block of South La Cienega. The person then removed $5 in change from the register and fled the scene.

Display case grab

At 4 p.m. June 12, a man described as being about 50 years old, 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds stole merchandise worth $1,659 from a store on the 400 block of North Bedford Drive. The man reportedly entered the business carrying two shopping bags, and after distracting the sales associate, swiped the property from a glass display case. He then concealed the goods in his bags and left.

Pull and push

About midnight June 12, a person described as having brown hair and brown eyes attempted to rob a woman on the 200 block of South La Cienega. The victim reported that the perpetrator unsuccessfully attempted to pull the purse from her right shoulder while pushing her to the ground.
