Michael Lohan Charged in Domestic Violence Case

Lindsay Lohan’s father is scheduled for arraignment today at the on one count of corporal injury to a cohabitant, according to the District Attorney's Office.

Michael Lohan, 50, has been charged with a misdemeanor count stemming from allegations of domestic violence involving his live-in girlfriend, Kate Major.

West Hollywood Sheriff's Station personnel received a call around 9 p.m. Monday from Major regarding a domestic disturbance at her and Lohan’s West Hollywood residence, TMZ reported.

Lohan was arrested after deputies found him walking on the 8800 block of Santa Monica Boulevard near San Vicente Boulevard. He allegedly prevented Major from calling 911 during an argument, holding her against her will and causing minor injuries, the sheriff's department reported.

Major declined medical treatment from Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics.

Lohan was booked Tuesday afternoon at the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station and released on $250 bail.

In an effort to treat his often-publicized anger management issues, Lohan is a participant in VH1's upcoming season of Dr. Drew's Celebrity Rehab.
