Hilton Hotel Deaths Result of Double Suicide

The Beverly Hills Police Department released Thursday the names of the married couple in their Beverly Hilton hotel room last Friday. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office determined the incident was a double suicide.

The bodies of Robert John Egan, 69, and Barbra Regan Wilson Egan, 56, were found at about 10:50 p.m. Friday at the hotel at 9876 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills police Lt. Mark Rosen said.

The couple had been living in the hotel for at least six months, Rosen said.

Authorities had initially classified the case as an apparent murder-suicide, but later determined that each person had committed suicide with a firearm, Rosen said.

Beverly Hills police revealed Monday that a , but the contents of the note have not been disclosed.
