Messianic Judaism Sets Sights on Beverly Hills

The religious movement that believes Jesus is the Messiah has taken root in the community.

On South Beverly Drive between Gregory Way and Olympic Boulevard, a sign reading "Interfaith Center" marks the ground floor of a large office building.

But who does the Interfaith Center of Beverly Hills represent and what is it for? According to the Jewish Journal

Despite the mezuzah on its doorframe and the bookshelves lining the back wall, the Interfaith Center isn't a house of Jewish prayer. It's the site of a new attempt by Messianic Jews to draw in the mainstream Jewish community.

Messianic Judaism is a movement of Jewish people who believe that Yeshua (Jesus' original name in Hebrew) is the Messiah of Israel and savior of the world. Judaism, on the other hand, rejects the notion that a Messiah has already come.
