Get $1 Books at the City Library

The Friends of the Beverly Hills Public Library is having a "Summer Madness" book sale.

Why not close your laptop, put down that iPad and open up a book you've never read? 

Thanks to the you can do this for just a dollar.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug 16-18, and again from noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 19, the book shop is having a "Summer Madness" sale. Stop by the shop, located inside the , to browse a selection of gently used books. There's something for everyone, from classics to contemporary literature, and plenty of great finds to take home to the kids.

With every book you purchase, money is raised for a great cause: your public library! The Friends is a nonprofit organization that raises funds to support the library and its programs.

If you have any books that you're done reading, consider donating them to the Friends to help the group continue its effort to make Beverly Hills' library the best of the best.
