Week in Review: BHUSD Security, 9900 Wilshire Revisions and City-Sponsored Teen Excursion

The safety of students and staff were at the forefront of people's mind last week as residents reflected on the shootings at an elementary school in Newtown, CT. Read about that and more in the top stories from Dec. 16-22.

1. The Beverly Hills Unified School District and the Beverly Hills Police Department released a joint statement about current security procedures at city schools.

2. The Beverly Hills Public Library is open Christmas Eve from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

3. The City Council has accepted design revisions for the 9900 Wilshire project. 

4. Some BHUSD parents remain uncomfortable with school security despite a joint meeting between the district and BHPD.

5. Those in grades six through eight are invited to a city-sponsored excursion to the California Science Center on Jan. 25. Limited spots available.
