LA Marathon Holds Reception for Beverly Hills Volunteers

Three Beverly Hills-based charities raised a total of nearly $200,000 through the race's fundraising campaign.

The LA Marathon hosted a reception last week to honor the Beverly Hills charities, runners, volunteers and city officials who contributed to the successful execution of this year's race.

Three Beverly Hills-based charities—Concern Foundation, Lupus LA and Khalili Foundation—were also recognized for raising almost $200,000 combined through the marathon's "I Run 4 Something" campaign.

The reception was held Oct. 18 at the Carroll & Company store on North Canon Drive. Attendees included Councilmen Barry Brucker and Julian Gold, Assistant City Manager Mahdi Aluzri, members of the Beverly Hills Fire Department and representatives from the Concern Foundation, Lupus LA and the Khalili Foundation.

About 150 local volunteers provided race day assistance along the Beverly Hills portion of the course, which also included a cheer zone.
