Local Police to Host Pancake Breakfast

The Beverly Hills Police Department prepares for its annual family-friendly event.

The Beverly Hills Police Officers Association will host a "Police Service Day and Pancake Breakfast" this month.

During the 17th annual event, locals will be treated to pancakes cooked and served up by local police as well as free tours of the Beverly Hills Police Department and interactive activities with police, including those in the canine and motorcycle units as well as the SWAT team, according to coordinators Stacia Kopeikin and Mara Bloom.

There will also be face painting for kids during the free event.

"It's a really wonderful family event," Kopeikin said. "Everybody should come out and have a good time and see the department."

The "Police Service Day and Pancake Breakfast" will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Sept. 22.
