William Schaff, Neighbor

William (Bill) Schaff, MS Engineering, UC Davis, is a Chartered Financial Analyst. An institutional portfolio manager for the past 23 years, he currently earns his living managing institutional pension funds for Phocas Financial, which he founded in 2005. Active in the community, Schaff served on the Alameda Unified School District Board of Trustees from 2004 to 2008. He is currently on the board of the Alameda Education Foundation and is vice president of the board for The Alameda of Academy Middle School, a public charter school. From 1998 to 2003, he served as trustee and chair of the investment committee for the Alameda County Employee Retirement Association (ACERA). A wannabe travel writer, Schaff enjoys life in Alameda with his lovely wife, Cynthia, and three children, Sarah, Allie and William.
