Jim Fowler, Neighbor

Jim Fowler is a musician and journalist who worked at the Los Angeles Times for more than 18 years. The last seven years were spent downtown in the Times&#39; Calendar section where Fowler was the assistant listings editor. Over the last 10 years, Fowler has produced and released two CDs of his original music under the <i>nom de g</i>uerre of Sleepy James.

Besides working for Patch, Fowler also is editor of www.cityoftheangelsmusic.com a website dedicated to the jazz community of Los Angeles and Southern California. He lives with his wife, playwright Jennie Webb, in Eagle Rock with their cat Monk.
