The Beverly Hills High School campus is located on Moreno Drive, one block south of Little Santa Monica Boulevard. It is a four-year, college-oriented high school with more than 2,200 students. The student-to-teacher ratio is about 19:1, and the average class size is 23 students.
BHHS has a diverse curriculum, and has received national recognition in the areas of music, foreign languages, print and broadcast journalism, mathematics, engineering, athletics, business, marketing and design. The school also offers honors classes in English, Spanish, French, Hebrew, biology, math analysis, world history and studio arts. More than 60 student-run extracurricular clubs are offered, as well as athletic programs including football, soccer, lacrosse, water polo, softball, cheerleading and dance.
BHHS was awarded the National Blue Ribbon in 2004, and received a California Distinguished School award in 1988, 1999 and 2003. Carter Paysinger took over as principal in June 2010.
Moreno High School, located on the southern portion of the BHHS campus, is the city's alternative high school.
