Monday Essentials: Menorah Lighting, City Council, Float Decoration

Here are five things to know for the week ahead in Beverly Hills.

1. The annual menorah lighting for Hanukkah takes place from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at 2 Rodeo Drive.

2. The City Council holds its study session Thursday, starting at 2:30 p.m., and formal meeting at 7 p.m.

3. The Friends of Beverly Hills Library holds a book discussion from 10:15 to 11:30 a.m. at the library.

4. Saturday marks the first of three throughout December where the city is looking for volunteers to help decorate its float for the Rose Parade as part of the centennial celebration. Click here for more information.

5. Beverly Vista School hosts its winter concert this Thursday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m.
