Monday Essentials: Annenberg Opening, Great Shakeout, Walktoberfest

Here are five things to know in Beverly Hills for the week ahead.

1. The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts holds several events this week to celebrate its opening, starting with a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony Tuesday, Oct. 15 and grand opening galas on Oct. 17 and Oct. 18. 2. The City of Beverly Hills is ready to drop, cover and hold as it prepares for the annual “Shakeout” earthquake drill on Oct. 17 at 10:17 a.m. Click here for more details.

3. Learn just how walkable Beverly Hills is! There is a two-mile loop of great architecture, public artworks and unexplored alleys in the city, led by Ellen Lutwak and "Walk Beverly Hills" walk ambassadors with Los Angeles Walks. Click here for more information.
