Rescue Dog of the Week: Slade the Rhodesian Ridgeback/Yellow Lab Mix

Slade is a handsome young male who was rescued from the desert.

Slade is a young Rhodesian Ridgeback/yellow Labrador retriever mix. He was rescued from a hoarding situation in the desert along with 70 other dogs, but is still a social and friendly pup. When volunteers found him, he was proudly prancing around with his feed bucket...earning him the nickname Bucket Boy! Slade would make a great addition to any family and is looking for a loving forever home.

Ace of Hearts is a 501c-3 dog rescue foundation dedicated to rescuing dogs—the day they are to be euthanized—from various Los Angeles shelters and placing them in loving homes. It does not take dogs in. It rescues only from shelters. Its adoption days are normally held every Saturday at the West Hollywood Petco at 508 N. Doheny Drive from 1-4 p.m. Click here for information on how to adopt a rescue dog from Ace of Hearts.
