Rescue Dog of the Week: Owen the Cocker Spaniel

This sweet pooch is looking for a forever home.

Owen is a 15-year-old male Cocker Spaniel who was rescued from a high-kill shelter where he was on the euthanasia list. Despite his age and the cataracts that impair his vision at night, he is in excellent condition. Owen is easy, laid-back and an absolute sweetheart. He is neutered, up to date on his routine shots and house trained. This pup is looking for a great forever home where he can enjoy his retirement years.

Ace of Hearts is a 501c-3 dog rescue foundation dedicated to rescuing dogs—the day they are to be euthanized—from various Los Angeles shelters and placing them in loving homes. It does not take dogs in. It rescues only from shelters. Its adoption days are normally held every Saturday at the West Hollywood Petco at 508 N. Doheny Drive from 1-4 p.m. Click here for information on how to adopt a rescue dog from Ace of Hearts.
