Rescue Dog of the Week: Frankie the Beagle/Dachshund Mix

Meet Frankie, a gentle pup who was rescued after suffering acid burns.

Frankie the Beagle/Dachshund mix is a survivor who wants nothing more than to cuddle and be loved. He was covered with acid and suffered extremely painful burns. In spite of all he's been through, this little guy is happy, gentle and kind. Frankie literally gets along with everyone—old people, young people, kids, big dogs, little dogs and even cats. He's an affectionate, 15-pound pup who would fit in just fine in any household—big or small. Frankie is very well-behaved and will stick by your side, giving you lots of kisses and tail wags. Please help him find his forever home!

Ace of Hearts is a 501c-3 dog rescue foundation dedicated to rescuing dogs—the day they are to be euthanized—from various Los Angeles shelters and placing them in loving homes. It does not take dogs in. It rescues only from shelters. Its adoption days are normally held every Saturday at the West Hollywood Pet Co. at 508 N. Doheny Drive from 1-4 p.m. Click here for information on how to adopt a rescue dog from Ace of Hearts.
