Trending: Science Teacher Suspended After Administrators Scared by Science Projects

A Los Angeles high school teacher was suspended after school administrators said the science projects of two students were too dangerous.

Los Angeles, California – A high school science teacher was suspended on the basis that two science projects turned in by students looked dangerous, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Greg Schiller was suspended pending an investigation.

One of the projects used air to propel a small object and the project was similar to one presented at the White House in 2012 (Video report attached to this post shows the project). The other project involved power from a AA battery charging a tub surrounded by a coil, the Los Angeles Times reported.

"As far as we can tell, he's being punished for teaching science," Warren Fletcher, President of the United Teachers Los Angeles, told the newspaper.

The newspaper reported that the science projects have been confiscated as evidence and students have rallied in support of Schiller.
