BHHS Boys Tennis Qualifies for CIF Playoffs
The Normans host Tesoro in the first round of the Southern Section Division 2 draw.
The CIF Southern Section released its boys tennis playoff pairings Monday and Beverly Hills High is in the 32-team field in Division 2.
The Normans, who finished runner-up in the Ocean League behind Santa Monica, will host Tesoro, the second-place team from the Sea View League, in the first round at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
If Beverly Hills prevails it will meet either a wildcard winner, or Foothill League champion and fourth-seeded Valencia in the second round Friday. Santa Monica is seeded No. 3 and will host a wildcard winner in the first round.

Santa Monica and Beverly Hills are on opposites sides of the draw, meaning they would not meet until the finals.
Culver City, which finished third in the Ocean League, was awarded a wildcard and travels to Oxnard Pacifica on Tuesday, with the winner earning a spot in the main draw against Walnut.

Desert Valley League champion Palm Desert is the No. 1 seed and Pacific League champion Arcadia is No. 2.
Quarterfinals in all divisions are May 17, semifinals are May 24 and championships are June 1 at the Claremont Club.
