'Walter Mitty' Clinches Top Award for Location Professionals

Location Managers Guild of America held its first-ever ceremony in Beverly Hills.

The Location Managers Guild of America has announced the winners of its 1st Annual Location Managers Guild of America Awards, presented by the Greater Ford Lauderdale/Broward Office of Film & Entertainment.

The event, honoring the contributions of location professionals in six categories of film, television and commercials, was held at the Writers Guild Theater on Saturday in Beverly Hills.

"The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" was named Outstanding Location Feature Film, while "Game of Thrones" won Outstanding Location Television Program.

Ilt Jones won Outstanding Achievement by a Location Professional - Feature Film for "Iron Man 3," while Robert Boake took the award for Outstanding Achievement by a Location Professional - TV Program for "Game of Thrones" and David Doumeng and Charlie Love won Outstanding Achievement by a Location Professional - Commercial for Nike.

The Albuquerque Film Commission was named Outstanding Film Commission.
