Hall Pulls Ahead of Bilak in Latest School Board Results

The official tally of write-in votes is expected Monday evening.

The most recent update on the Los Angeles Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s website has Lewis Hall moving ahead of Frances Bilak in the Beverly Hills Unified School District Board of Education race.

The latest results are as follows:

Brian Goldberg—2,170 votes, 45.39 percent

Lewis Hall—966 votes, 20.20 percent

Frances Bilak—899 votes, 18.80 percent

Andy Licht—746 votes, 15.60 percent

Noah Margo (write-in candidate)—Not yet known

Three seats are up for grabs on the school board. Incumbent Brian Goldberg has a commanding lead, while the number of ballots cast for have not been released. Andy Licht of the race, though not in time for his name to be removed from the ballot.

Under California law, officials have 28 days following an election to conduct a canvass of vote-by-mail, provisional, damaged and write-in ballots.

"Tallying [for the official canvas] started today at 1 p.m.," County Clerk spokeswoman Eileen Shea told Patch. "We should have the results in between 4-5 p.m."
