"Barristers Environmental Law Seminar Contaminated Property Cases Evaluation, Litigation and Settlement"

Contaminated property litigation shapes the face of our cities, suburbs, and rural areas as facility owners, real estate developers, public agencies, and concerned neighbors grapple with the challenges presented by hazardous substance contamination and responsibility for it.

In this program, experienced environmental counsel, Thomas J. Smith, Esq., will examine how counsel evaluates contaminated property cases prior to intake so as to ensure effective representation. Mr. Smith will further discuss litigation techniques and strategies which every practitioner needs to know to successfully represent clients in contaminated property litigation.

Anthony Daus, P.G., prominent environmental consultant, will provide insights into how he advises litigation clients on topics such as the source, distribution, and nature of hazardous substance contamination.

Leading mediator, Eleanor Barr, Esq., will identify the key components to the resolution of environmental litigation and set forth a process that counsel, new or experienced, can use to achieve more favorable results for their environmental clients in a mediation setting.

Each of the panelists will deliver a presentation based on their experience with contaminated property litigation. Following their comments, the panelists will participate in a question-and-answer session with the audience.
