Community Invited to El Rodeo School's 'Barnyard Bash'

The family fun day is open to Beverly Hills and the surrounding community. The fundraising proceeds benefit Beverly Hills Unified School District.

The El Rodeo School PTA is hosting a family fun day event on Sunday, Sept. 22 from 12 to 4 p.m. inviting the entire Beverly Hills and surrounding community.

This year’s theme is the “Barnyard Bash” and features themed rides, activities, and an old-fashioned BBQ. Admission is free-of-charge.

With the hard work of many parent volunteers who are organizing this event, led by co-chairs Julie Gilberg and Maricruz Morales, and with the support of community members and local businesses, the El Rodeo Barnyard Bash is nearly 100 percent funded by sponsorships, donations and in-kind donations.

The fundraising event's proceeds benefit El Rodeo School. Each of the K-8 schools in Beverly Hills School District host a similar type of event for their school throughout the year.

Ride, activity and food tickets will be on sale at the event.

Try your skill on the mechanical bull machine, become airborne on the Swing Chairs, race your pal down the giant double slide or be the first to reach the top of the climbing wall, roll across the lawn in the hamster balls, run around the obstacle course, zoom around the Go Cart course and take a ride on a real barnyard pony.

Activities include carnival games, sports booth, photo booth, jewelry making, face painting, cookie decorating, and learning center booths.

Food booths include hamburgers, hot dogs, corn-on-the-cob, french fries, Fresh Bros. pizza/salad, tamales, frozen lemonade, frozen cappuccinos and The Ice-Cream Lab. Special event highlights include a Western rope show, DJ and a big Silent Auction.

Learning Center Booths include: LA Dance Fitness, AYSO, Kumon, Beverly Hills Parks and Recreation, Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, Simcha Yoga, Hwang’s Tae Kwon Do Center, Oksana School of Music, and Malibu Makos Surf.

Community contributors for El Rodeo’s Barnyard Bash Family Fun Day include: Fresh Bros., Ice-Cream Lab, Michael J. Libow – Coldwell Banker Real Estate, Koss Resource, Public Identity, Atlas Swimming Pool Company, Let’s Have a Cart Party, and Mickey Fine Pharmacy and Grill.
