Beverly Hills Students Shine at Kumon Learning Center

The after-school math and reading program recognizes students for their academic achievements.

Students enrolled at the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Beverly Hills were honored last week for excelling in the after-school enrichment program.

"Kumon changed my kids' education and life for the better," Raghda William said about her children, Catherine and Cyril. "They work faster and focus better." 

Catherine, an eighth-grade student at , and Cyril, a third-grade student at , have been attending Kumon for six months.

"At Kumon, we believe children have unlimited potential to succeed," said Delaram Nakhi, the center's Beverly Hills director. "My goal is to help each child develop strong academic skills, a love of learning and the confidence to excel beyond the classroom."

Jacob Feitelberg, a sixth-grade student at , was recognized for his advanced math skills. He has studied at Kumon for more than four years.

Meg Feitelberg, Jacob's mother, advised parents to "be persistent with your kids" when it comes to learning.

"The rewards pay off," she said.

The goal of Kumon learning centers is to help students develop confidence, concentration and study skills. Kumon's Beverly Hills location is at 8950 W. Olympic Blvd.
