YouTube Video Shows Purple Line Extension Flyover

The video offers viewers a peak into what the Westside Subway Extension has in store.

If you would like to get an idea of the Purple Line extension and how it will travel from downtown Los Angeles westward, check out the accompanying YouTube video.

The video's caption reads, "The Purple Line Flyover of the Extension to Century City, Westwood and the Veterans Administration. Some Day to Santa Monica." Then it says, "Due to BHHS and the Folks from Beverly Hills, Comments are Not Allowed."

But according to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's blog The Source:

Two cautionary notes: the alignment shown in the video is only a general description and is not completely accurate, particularly in the western Beverly Hills to Westwood section. Here is a link to a Metro document with maps that show the precise route the subway will take and a more general map is below.
The video is also a little overly enthusiastic and takes the line all the way to Santa Monica. The Westside Subway Extension is only funded at this time to the Westwood/VA Station.

The website does post the video for its readers, describing it as "fun."

The Metro Board of Directors to expand the Purple Line from downtown L.A. to Beverly Hills, Century City, Westwood and the Veterans Administration Medical Center as part of the Westside Subway Extension.

The project was fully approved against who oppose plans to route the subway under  to reach a station on Constellation Boulevard in Century City.

Officials for the Beverly Hills Unified School District and the city of Beverly Hills affirmed that they will .
