The Metropolitan Transportation Authority Board of Directors is in the process of determining weather or not to tunnel under Beverly Hills High School to reach a subway station on Constellation Boulevard in Century City.

The board is slated to make a decision on phase two and three of the Westside Subway Extension, an expansion of the Purple Line to Beverly Hills, Century City, Westwood and the Veterans Administration Medical Center.

In a report , Metro staff affirmed the agency's position that it would be safe to tunnel under BHHS to reach a stop at ConstellationBoulevard/Avenue of the Stars. Geologists and engineers commissioned by the Beverly Hills Unified School District and city of Beverly Hills argued at a  that Metro is using flawed data to support tunneling under BHHS.
