Overgrown Foliage Angers Residents
Homeowners tell the planning commission that unkempt growth is blocking their views.
Dozens of residents were on hand at the Beverly Hills Planning Commission meeting Thursday to complain about overgrown foliage that they say is affecting the views from their homes.
Some homeowners said they feared the diminished views could lower their properties' resale value. A few brought pictures to the meeting to show their lost views.
The commission's next step is to determine how tall, wide or spaced apart trees can be in Beverly Hills in order to prevent residents from losing their views.

Commission chair Lili Bosse had to cut complaints short after three hours of public testimony in order to move on with the commission's agenda. The issue will be revisited at the panel's next meeting July 8.
