Feinstein: 'No One Knows Where' Federal Funds for Subway Extension Will Come From
The California senator says at a Tuesday visit to Century City that L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's 30/10 Initiative is "brilliant" but the money to pay for it hasn't been found.

During a Century City speaking engagement, Feinstein told Patch that she believes is "brilliant," but that she is unsure where the federal funds to support it would come from.
"Right now, no one knows where that [money] is," Feinstein said.

The 30/10 Initiative, also called "America Fast Forward," seeks to use long-term revenue from the Los Angeles County-approved Measure R sales tax as collateral for long-term bonds that, in addition to a federal loan, would allow the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to construct 12 mass transit projects in 10 years.
Feinstein also said the controversy over the exact location of the is frustrating, but that "it will work itself out."
