The wood roof replacement ordinance was enacted in 1993 and requires the replacement of non-rated wood roofs by July 1, 2013. This ordinance was put in place to help reduce the spread of fire within the community. Staff has embarked on a community awareness program to draw attention to this matter and assist property owners in an effort to gain compliance by the July 1, 2013 deadline.
