Election Results For City Council, Community College District Declared Official

The Beverly Hills City Council will be formally installed March 27.

Beverly Hills City Clerk Byron Pope has declared the official results of the March 5 municipal elections as well as the city’s share of the vote in electing board members for the Los Angeles Community College District, the nation’s largest community college district.

Earlier this week, City Clerk Byron Pope made the results official, confirming that Mayor William Brien and Vice-Mayor John Mirisch had been reelected by 21.63 percent of Beverly Hills’ registered voters. In addition, former Mayor Nancy Krasne beat Planning Commissioner Brian Rosenstein by a narrow margin of seven votes to win the only open seat on the City Council.

On Monday, the City Clerk also certified that a manual recount of a 1 percent sample of the votes cast in precinct 10 exactly matched the electronic vote count, according to Beverly Hills Public Information Manager Therese Kosterman.
