Council Recognizes Retiring BHPD Officer for 30 Years of Service

Gary Castaldo joined the Beverly Hills Police Department in October 1982.

The City Council honored retiring Beverly Hills police Officer Gary Castaldo at Tuesday's study session with a Certificate of Recognition for his 30 years of service to the community.

"This is a very special city. We get to meet and greet the nicest people in the world," Castaldo said after accepting his award. "This is an honorable profession and I am proud to be a part of the department."

A flag ceremony was held Dec. 20, 2012, at the Beverly Hills Police Department to mark Castaldo's decades of dedication. He joined BHPD on Oct. 14, 1982.
