If you're interested in knowing what city employees earn, look no further than Beverly Hills' official website.
In the "Administrative Services" section of the "Government" tab, click on "Human Resources" and then "Summary of Salaries." You will be directed to the salary information of all city workers. The latest data available is for 2010.
One major aspect of employee salaries is the pension plan they receive upon retirement. City Treasurer Eliot Finkel recently warned the City Council that pension costs are in Beverly Hills, particularly for the city's safety employees, such as police officers and firefighters.
"The political reality is we cannot afford to perpetuate the current defined benefit pension plan," Finkel said at the Aug. 2 council meeting.
