City Officials Remember 9/11

A big, twisted hunk of rust-colored steel provides a tangible reminder of the attacks on the World Trade Center on Sept. 11. That piece of metal—part of what's left of New York's twin towers— serves as the centerpiece for a Beverly Hills 9/11 memorial being built near the city's firehouse.

In light of the death of Osama bin Laden, Patch is re-posting this video from last September in which we spoke with Fire Department Chief Tim Scranton, Deputy Fire Chief Mark Embrey and then-mayor Jimmy Delshad. They all attended a groundbreaking ceremony for the Beverly Hills 9/11 memorial.
