Council Recognizes Summer Readers

Children who participated in the city library's summer reading program were invited to Council Chambers.

More than a dozen children who completed the Beverly Hills Public Library summer reading program attended Tuesday's City Council session. The participants were recognized at the beginning of the regular meeting for their involvement in the annual event, which encourages youth reading.

The honored kids included Vincent Mirisch, son of Vice Mayor John Mirisch.
