Beverly Hills Releases Notice of Public Hearing With Metro

The Metro Board of Directors has scheduled its hearing with Beverly Hills for 1:30 p.m. May 17.

The Board of Directors of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) will at the time and location described below.

This hearing is being held pursuant to California Public Utilities Code sections 30639-30645, in response to the request for hearing filed by the City Council of the City of Beverly Hills on April 23, 2012.

The subject matter of this hearing is Metro’s proposal to fix the location of a subway station facility at and its proposal to fix the location of the related subway tunnel alignment (together, “the Metro Proposals”), which are components of Metro’s Westside Subway Extension Project. The purpose of this hearing is to introduce evidence, including oral testimony, regarding the reasonableness of the Metro Proposals. 

Pursuant to California Public Utilities Code section 30641, any board of supervisors or city governing body eligible to file a request for hearing under Public Utilities Code section 30639, and not a party to the original request for hearing filed by the City Council of the City of Beverly Hills, may intervene in this matter and shall be entitled to be heard and to introduce evidence. Requests to intervene will be accepted by Metro until 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 11, 2012. Requests to intervene should be addressed to Board of Directors, LACMTA, One Gateway Plaza, 99-PL-4, Los Angeles, CA 90012-2952.

Upon request, foreign language translation, sign language interpretation, materials in alternative formats and other accommodations are available to the public for Metro-sponsored meetings and events. All requests for reasonable accommodations must be made at least three working days in advance of the scheduled meeting date.
