Beverly Hills Library Needs a Little Artistic Flair

Officials are calling all artists to come up with proposals for a mural for the children's "Enchanted Woods Room."

Have an artistic streak? Want to leave your mark on Beverly Hills?

The city is seeking an artist or even teams of artists to design a mural in the entryway of the newly remodeled Enchanted Woods Room at the Beverly Hills Public Library.

The children’s area art project is being sponsored by the Friends of the Beverly Hills Library, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and enhancing the library’s best-loved and most needed collections and programs. 

“This is an exciting opportunity for artists to be featured in a historic and prestigious library,” says Nancy Hunt-Coffey, Assistant Director of Community Services for Beverly Hills.

Interested professional artists must submit a proposal inclusive of all project costs, including: design, travel, materials, installation, protection, and insurance. The artist selected for this project will receive $85,000 to develop original mural work at this location.
