Beverly Hills City Council members passed the mayor’s gavel to Lili Bosse Tuesday night.
The mayor’s role is honorary and rotated among council members. Bosse served as vice mayor in 2012-13. She was first elected to the council in 2011.
Stepping into the role as vice mayor was Dr. Julian Gold, who also joined the council in 2011.

Bosse served on the Planning Commission from 2007-2011, including a term as chairperson, and on the Traffic and Parking Commission from 1997-2002.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.
