Beverly Hills Commission Appointments and Retirements

The latest updates to memberships on Beverly Hills' 11 commissions.

Here are the latest appointments and retirements from the city's commissions through recognitions at Beverly Hills City Council on Dec. 5:

  • Daniel Nazarian, DMD - appointed to the Health and Safety Commission
  • Sandra Aronberg, MD and Jeff Wolfe - appointed to the Public Works Commission
  • Zale Richard Rubins retired from the Architectural Commission.
Mayor John Mirisch said the retirement of Rubins was a little bittersweet since he's a friend and neighbor and "someone who served the city so well."

Rubins said it was six years ago to the day he was appointed to the Architectural Commission, and, along with his wife Brenda, have participated in multiple civic groups over the years and passed that involvement down to their son, Max. Rubins lead the commission for two years as vice chairperson and two years as chairperson.

"I've had the privilege of serving with a fine group of commissioners," he said, also thanking Councilmember Nancy Krasne, who was responsible for his appointment. "Residents of Beverly Hills: Your city needs your service. I encourage you to volunteer and participate in anyway you can."
