Beverly Hills City Clerk Elected to Clerk's Association

Beverly Hills City Clerk Byron Pope has been elected to the City Clerk’s Association California Board.

Pope will serve a four-year term. He has been elected second vice president, and will become first vice president in his second year.

"It's a huge deal for me," Pope said. "I'm honored and humbled."

In his third year, Pope will serve as president of the board and in his fourth year, as immediate past president. As president, Pope will represent all state city clerks on a national and international level, whether it's discussing election-related issues, the Brown Act or other areas, he said.

"It's a huge undertaking," he added.

Pope will be officially sworn in at the League of California Cities Conference on Sept. 18.
