The was robbed at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department.
"The suspect demanded money but no weapon was seen," BHPD Lt. Mike Hill said. "We got the call five minutes after the robbery, but the suspect was gone by then."
Hill said the amount of money taken is unknown at this time. Police helicopters could be seen hovering at the scene.
The bank robber is described by police as a white male in his 60s who is about 5-feet, 6-inches tall.
The investigation is ongoing.
