Update: Three Arrests Made in Fatal Trousdale Estates Stabbing

BHPD identifies Katsutoshi Takazato, 21, as the victim.

The Beverly Hills Police Department has arrested three people in connection with yesterday's stabbing death of Katsutoshi Takazato, 21, at the Trousdale Estates, according to wire reports.

The names of the three suspects have not been released.

Takazato lived at the multi-million dollar mansion on the 1800 block of Carla Ridge where the crime occurred, said L.A. County Coroner's Lt. Cheryl MacWillie. The home is owned by Fuminori Hayashida, who produced several films in the late 1990s and early 2000s, including Lured Innocence with Dennis Hopper.

BHPD Sgt. Shan Davis said his department is well-equipped to quickly solve homicides because of a highly trained staff that can heavily focus on a particular case due to the relatively few homicides that occur in the city, according to wire reports.

"We do have some of the best-trained detectives to handle these sort of things," Davis said. "In our particular situation, we get that luxury of being able to spend the time and effort needed to get a conviction, and arrest the suspects, for these types of crimes.''
