Trespasser Arrested at Tom Cruise's Beverly Hills Home

The 41-year-old trespasser, who was Tasered by a security guard at the actor's estate, was an intoxicated neighbor who may have entered the wrong property by mistake.

A man thought to be a prowler who was Tasered by a security guard at actor Tom Cruise's Beverly Hills home turned out to be an intoxicated neighbor who may have mistakenly entered the wrong property, a Beverly Hills police spokesman said.

The incident took place at about 9:35 p.m. Sunday night at the home on the 1100 block of Calle Vista Drive, Lt. Lincoln Hoshino said. The dazed man was identified as Jason Sullivan, 41, who lives in an adjacent property, and was intoxicated at the time of the incident, Hoshino said.

The security guard "observed the suspect climbing a fence to gain access to the property," he said. The security guard Tasered and detained the suspect.

"The suspect was subsequently taken into custody for trespassing on a private person's arrest by the security officer and transported to a local area hospital by Beverly Hills Fire Department paramedics for treatment due to the use of the Taser device," Hoshino said. Neither Cruise nor any of his family members were home at the time.
