'Swatting' 911 Prank Prompts Large Police Response to Kardashian Home

The reality TV stars are the latest victims of fake emergency calls targeting celebrities.

A false report of an assault at the Hidden Hills home of 1976 Olympic decathlon gold medalist Bruce Jenner and his wife and reality television star Kris drew a response by sheriff's deputies Friday.

In the latest case of what authorities call swatting, deputies were sent to the residence around 4:40 p.m. on a call that some type of assault had occurred, said Sgt. Shawn Ruda of the Los Angeles County sheriff's Malibu/Lost Hills Station

"We went there, they searched the house, nobody was inside and nobody was hurt," Ruda said.

Kris Jenner is the mother of Kim Kardashian, star of the reality television series "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," which also includes appearances by the Jenners.

Swatting involves the false reporting of crimes at the homes of celebrities and the subsequent response by law enforcement, which sometimes includes SWAT units.

Police were called to the Beverly Hills home of Tom Cruise on Thursday in a similar prank, and a 12-year-old recently was arrested on suspicion of committing swatting calls against Ashton Kutcher and Justin Bieber, according to TMZ.

As a Hidden Hills resident, WHY WOULD A SHOOTING HAPPEN IN A GATED COMMUNITY?! WE HAVE PRIVATE GUARDS AND GATES AND A SHERIFF AT ALL TIMES!

Someone within the gate?! It could happen anywhere..

Isn't that the truth! Don't be deceived that because you live within a gated community you are completely safe and will never be victimized by a crime! It can happen anywhere. The comments you made about this reflects a level of ignorance and only validate that although you may have the means to live behind a gate, you too are in a prison and are not living free.

You have to know someone to get in Hidden Hills. Also, next time, I will say "Most Likely NOT Happen" to please people like you
