Suspicious Package Brings Bomb Squad to Thompson Hotel

The Los Angeles County Sheriff explosives unit determines the package is not dangerous Tuesday evening.

A suspicious package found in a Beverly Hills hotel Tuesday night turned out to be nothing dangerous, according to a Beverly Hills Police Department alert.

BHPD shut down the area around the Thompson Hotel at Wilshire and Crescent Drive a little after 8 p.m. for the investigation.

The Los Angeles Sheriff’s department explosives unit responded and determined that the package did not contain an explosive device.

All streets were open as of about 9:40 p.m. again, according to the alert.
