Simon Cowell Latest Target in Police Call Hoax

The BHPD responds to the famed producer's Beverly Hills home after a caller reports a crime there.

Sunday afternoon the Beverly Hills Police Department received a call reporting that someone at the home of TV personality Simon Cowell had been tied up with duct tape and needed assistance.

The call came in at 12:56 p.m. and the address given to police was determined to be outside of Beverly Hills, even though Cowell's residence is within city limits, according to BHPD Lt. Lincoln Hoshino.

BHPD responded to Cowell's home and contacted him, confirming that the call was a false report of an emergency.
