Shot Fired in Attempted Beverly Hills Robbery Early Thursday
No one was injured and the alleged suspect got away.
A shot was fired during an attempted robbery in Beverly Hills Thursday morning, but no one was struck and the gunman got away, police said.
The Beverly Hills Police Department was called around 12:45 a.m. to 309 S. Doheny Drive, where a gunman fired one shot at someone during the robbery attempt, Beverly Hills police Sgt. Todd Withers told news photographers at the scene.
The robbery target, a man, was not injured, he said. Officers searched the area but did not find the gunman, Withers said.

"It appears to be a crime of opportunity," he said.
The suspect was described as a black male, between 25 and 30 years old, wearing a dark gray hoodie and a red bandana over his face.
