The alert says officers responded and then talked to private security on the grounds, who told them there was no trouble.

The alert says the officers also, apparently, confirmed this with the television and radio personality by phone.

The alert says Beverly Hills police will be investigating the incident as a crime, which follows a number of other swatting incidents at the homes of celebrities, including Beverly Hills residents Tom Cruise and Simon Cowell, along with Rhianna, Justin Timberlake, Russell Brand and many others.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Seacrest's swatting came just a few hours after he had Brand on his show to discuss the incident at his Hollywood Hills home, which happened Monday.

TMZ reports that Seacrest recently bought the home for $39 million from Ellen DeGeneres.
