Police Investigating Apparent Break-In Attempt at V. Stiviano's House

Officers found broken glass at the home of the woman at the center of the firestorm surrounding Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling

Police are investigating what appeared to be an abortive burglary attempt today at the home of V. Stiviano, the woman at the center of the firestorm surrounding Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling.

Officers were dispatched to the home in the 8400 block of Fourth Street at 3:50 p.m., said Officer Drake Madison of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section.

Madison said he didn't know if Stiviano was at home when the burglary attempt occurred, or if a neighbor made the call to police.

Detectives found broken glass at the residence, he said.

"We don't know what time it occurred or if they got in," Madison said, adding that detectives are trying to recover fingerprints and surveillance video.
