Police Find Missing Boy Unharmed

An officer discovers the child several hours after he ran out of his home.

A 10-year-old autistic boy who went missing from his Mid-Wilshire area home was located Thursday in good condition, police said.

The boy, Daniel King, ran out of his home in the 1200 block of South Victoria Avenue around 8 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

An officer on patrol spotted the boy walking in the area of Pico Boulevard and Hudson Avenue around 12:30 a.m. Thursday and returned him to his home about a mile away, said Sgt. Christopher Chase of the Los Angeles Police Department's Wilshire Station.
